Information on claim of unclaimed amounts erstwhile Sahara Mutual Fund schemes

Pursuant to the SEBI order dated July 28, 2015 towards cancellation of Registration of Sahara Mutual Fund, all the 11 schemes of the said Asset Management Company have been wound up as of April 03, 2020.

SEBI has allowed Kfin Technologies to continue as Registrar & Transfer Agent (RTA) of Sahara AMC for making payment of Unpaid / Unclaimed amounts to the concerned investors or their nominees / legal heirs upon completion of the requisite due diligence and ensuring KYC compliance by the claimant.

SEBI has also entrusted the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) towards safekeeping of funds of investors of erstwhile schemes of Sahara Mutual Fund.

Such amounts will be released to the claimant on meeting either of the following criteria:

1. All claims received during the quarter – Upon completion of the quarter
2. Receipt of at least 100 unique claims – Upon receipt of 100th claim
3. Consolidated claims worth Rs 50 lakh – Upon consolidated claim amount reaching Rs 50 lakh

In case you are an existing investor or nominee / legal heir of a deceased investor with erstwhile schemes of Sahara Mutual Fund and wish to make a claim of any unclaimed dividend / redemption amounts, please provide the following details:

1. Request letter clearly specifying the Folio / Account number, Name of the erstwhile scheme, Units / amount of claim duly signed by the investor / claimant
2. Duly filled up KYC form along with the supporting documents like PAN, Address proof, etc
3. In case of transmission claim, the above documents along with other documents as prescribed by AMFI. (Please refer to AMFI website for transmission procedure and document requirements or click here)
